This paper describes an innovative way of sizing a hybrid power system for single house connected to electrical grid in Jordan. In the proposed system, the electric grid will be considered as a back-up power source only. The proposed composition of the system includes a wind turbine hybridized with solar panels integrated with a renewable power controller and a demand controller, a battery and inverter. The system is simulated using HOOMER, where both the wind turbine and the solar panels are considered unsteady generators and selected according to the average load for 20 houses. Moreover, both controller and inverter are selected according to the maximum power benefit and allow expanding in future. Batteries are sized through calculating full day blackout by storing the extra power during the day.
