It is widely known that economic development cannot be separated from educational input, and there is an interdependent and mutually promoting relationship between the two. However, in terms of the promoting role of vocational English education in regional economic development, the majority of educators have not yet reached a highly clear understanding. Especially in the context of accelerating construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a highly clear role of facilitation is obviously the fundamental premise. Therefore, from the perspective of Heyuan higher vocational English education and the economic construction and development of the Greater Bay Area, and with the reform of higher vocational English education as the research background, this paper uses the methods of literature (summarizing, concluding and referring to the theories of social economy, economic growth and human capital), data sorting (analyzing the relationship between the investment of Heyuan higher vocational English education and the output in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area), and quantitative analysis method (Schultz's remainder analysis method is used to analyze the positive correlation between Heyuan higher vocational English education input and output in the Greater Bay Area) and other research methods. On the basis of clarifying the theory of higher vocational English education promoting regional economic development, this paper expounds the strategies of Heyuan higher vocational English education promoting regional economic development, so as to ensure the higher vocational English education in the regional economic development. At the same time, it can provide strong support for the promotion and quality of regional economic development.
