Chlorophyllin heteroassociation with berberine, methylene blue and doxorubicin was investigated by spectrophotometric method. Decomposition of titration spectra of chlorophyllin-ligand systems was fulfilled by multivariate curve resolution - alternative least squares method. It allowed us to determine the concentrations of absorbing particles in solutions and calculate the constants of chlorophyllin heteroassociation with three investigated ligands. The obtained data indicate that chlorophyllin can be used as an effective interceptor of berberine, methylene blue and doxorubicin when they interact with DNA in order to reduce the toxicity of these drugs.
