摘要

This paper consists of four quadrant operation of vector control of PMSM with dynamic braking in the generative mode. The PMSM drive is developed for servo applications where the emphasis is on smooth and accurate speed control in the four quadrants. Vector control enables independent control of flux and torque. In the generative mode of operation, dynamic braking is implemented with the help of resistor on-off control in order to safeguard the capacitor from the rise in dc bus voltage. Carrier based space vector modulation (CBSVPWM) technique is used for generating pulses for the inverter operation. This method is based on the equivalence of SVPWM and sine triangle comparison approach. The simulation of four quadrant operation of field oriented control is realized in MATLAB.
