DNA methylation is one of the most investigated epigenetic modifications,whichusually occurs at C-5 in cytosine.It has been reported that DNA methylation plays animportant role in several physiological processes,such as carcinogenesis1.Generally,DNAmethylation status in cells is thought to be affected by its culturing environment.However,the related research is still in little progress.As one of the environmental factor,heavymetals become the health concerns in recent years,which not only cause oxidative stress incells,but also show carcinogenesis2.Here in current research,HepG2 cell line is cultured inthe medium with different metals.We mainly focus on how nickel affect DNA methylationstatus.
