trans-Selective Hydroboration of Terminal Alkynes Catalyzed byPSP-Pincer Rh Catalyst

Pincer ligands are known as three-coordinate ligands that occupy adjacent bindingsites in a metal complex.Oxygen-containing POP-pincer ligands such as Xantphos andDPEphos are widely utilized for transition-metal-catalyzed reactions because of their widebite angles and hemilabile characters.On the other hand,there have been much fewerreports on sulfur-containing PSP-pincer ligands and complexes,and catalytic reactionsusing them are still unexplored.Very recently,transfer dehydrogenation of alkanescatalyzed by Ru-thioxantphos complex was reported.Herein we present trans-selectivehydroboration of terminal alkynes catalyzed by Rh-thioxantphos complex.
