摘要

Ganglioside GM3 in the plasma membranes has been reported to suppress cellgrowth by preventing the autophosphorylation of the epidermal growth factor (EGF)receptor.Biological assays represented the importance of electrostatic interactionbetween the sialic acid of GM3 and K642 residue of the EGF receptor just above themembrane surface.However,the interaction mode between GM3 and transmembrane(TM) domain of the EGF receptor has not been clarified yet.
