Heterohelicenes1 and other related helical molecules have received considerableattention due to their high potential as catalysts,liquid crystals and molecular devices.2However,efficient synthetic method of helicenes,in particular,heterohelicenes containingmultiple aromatic heterocycles are rather limited and classically investigated using e.g.transition metal catalyst,photochemical methods,and harsh basic conditions.
