This paper presented a study of a two-dimensional boundary layer flow in an incompressible viscous fluid, over a nonlinearly shrinking sheet, with suction and velocity slip effects. The governing equations were first reduced to the nonlinear ordinary differential equations, using the similarity transformations. The obtained equations were then solved numerically using the bvp4c function in MATLAB. It was demonstrated that dual (first and second) solutions existed in a certain range of the suction parameter s. Stability analysis was employed to test the stability of the dual solutions. The results indicated that the first solution was stable, while the second solution was unstable. In addition, the study established that the reduced skin friction coefficient decreased with an increase in the shrinking parameter c, velocity slip parameter N and nonlinearity parameter n.
