VAE technology for waterborne decorative paints with high pH

摘要

Waterborne technology has become the standard for modern decorative paints.More than 80% of all architectural coatings worldwide are produced using aqueous formulations.Among waterborne paints,high-pH formulations have only played a minor role in the past.However,recent changes in biocide regulations have sparked new interest,as high-pH environments are regarded as possible alternatives for producing biocide-free formulations.The correct choice of raw materials plays a key role in the formulation of high-performance decorative waterborne coatings.Additives and binders account for the properties and functionalities of the resulting paints.Organic polymer binders can be tailored to allow the paint to be adjusted to suit specific needs.
