摘要

Gd_2O_3:Eu~(3+) phosphors codoped with Dy~(3+) were prepared by using solid state reaction method. The structural behaviour of the phosphor was characterized by X-ray diffraction technique. The XRD pattern confirms the formation of cubic phosphor and the crystal size was obtained around 15 nm. The optical behavior of the phosphor was determined by recording the emission spectra of prepared phosphor under ultra violet range excitation wave length. The room-temperature luminescence color emission of the synthesized particles can be tuned from red to yellow by switching the excitation wavelength from 254 to 350 nm.
