The ultrarelativistic limit of solutions with spherical topology and one angular momentum for D> 4 dimensions is considered. The boost is performed parallel to the angular momentum. We show that for D= 4 and D> 5 the shock wave geometry obtained cannot be extended inside the ring singularity. For D= 5 we discuss the arising of the Penrose trapped surface in the head-on collision. We find that the Penrose trapped surface can exhibit no-trivial topology.
