Voice stress analysis for Punjabi and Hindi database: Detection of deception

The word "acoustic" is a Greek word, which means able to be heard. Many of the behaviors felt or exhibited by humans can be detected by analysis of that person's speech and voice like emotions (stress, anger, fear, sadness, depression, excitement, elation, and happiness), States induced by external conditions (ethanol intoxication and drugs), Certain Intentional behaviors (deception, untruths, disguise and other intent), and Health states (cold/flu and fatigue). In this Paper, our aim is to find appropriate parameters which are responsible for detection of lie. Voice stress analysis (VSA) has been introduced for detection of lie from very long time. Source of deception detection originated from the concept of micro muscle tremors (MMT). A card game was designed to build up a deceptive and non-deceptive database. After feature extraction, result has shown that pitch can detect deception.
