The Investigation of the Processing of Metals by a Loose Abrasive on the Basis of Analysis of Loose Particles

Effective shot blasting or sandblasting of metal surfaces requires the selection of machining conditions that corresponding to the properties of the contaminants removing and the metal to get processed. The choice of processing mode in a production environment is generally limited selection of stamps (dispersion) of abrasive material and the operating pressure of the air. This approach does not allow to achieve the greatest efficiency of the processing and leads to production losses. The paper presents the results of a investigation of the modes for abrasive blasting metal processing based on the analysis of the loose particles.
