During these recent decades, many researches have focused on the purification of antibodies in downstream processing. Protein A has been widely used as affinity ligand because of its high selectivity leading to high purity of antibodies. However, this step generates a high cost and the lifetime of the protein A column became shorter by its leaching under repeating regeneration under the harsh conditions during the purification process. 1 Therefore, several alternative coupled resins have been investigated to substitute protein A. 1,2 New capturing molecules that decreases the cost but can compete to the characteristic of protein A need to be developed. In this study, we characterized a new chemical ligand for affinity purification of human Immunoglobulin.
