The formation of an electron bunch produced due to electron self-injection into a wake wave that is generated by a relativistic-intensity laser pulse propagating through a sharp boundary of semi-bounded plasma was studied in onedimensional geometry. Numerical simulation was performed which confirms the results of analytical consideration.
