Metallophthalocynines ([M(pc)]) have been attracted for their unique properties based on the extended π-system within the ligands, one of which is their strong absorption called as Q band in the near-infrared region (650-700 nm).1 Schiff-base complexes are also attractive for their interesting electrochemical, catalytic, magnetic properties, and so on.2 We have initiated the research on the syntheses of the pc-Schiff-base conjugated complexes for producing new interesting properties by the conjugation.3
