A PROCESS FOR THE SYNTHESIS AND ANTIMICROBIAL, ANTIBREAST CANCER ACTIVITY OF COPPER (II) PER CHLORATE SCHIFF'S BASE COMPLEX USING 4-BROMO-(2-CARBOXYPHENYL)-PYRIDINE-2-YL ETHYLENE AMINE AND 2,2'BIPYRIDINE AS LIGAND.
Copper(II) Complex was prepared by using 4-Bromo- (2-carboxyphenyl)-Pyridine-2-yl ethylene amine and 2, 2-Bipyridine ligands and Per Chlorate salt with a metal:ligand ratio of 1:1:1. Distorted octahedron structures were elucidated on the basis of elemental analyses, IR, electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements, molar conductivity. Anticancer activity [In Vitro] evaluation of cyto-toxic effects on Breast cancer MCF-7 cell lines of metal complexes was higher active than ligands. We report synthesis, spectral evaluation, antimicrobial and anticancer study of Copper (II) Per Chlorate complexes of 4-Bromo-(2-carboxyphenyl)-pyridine-2-yl ethylene amine mixed with 2, 2-Bipyridine.
