Eu(III) complexes exhibit red luminescence with narrow emission bands and long emission lifetime. Eu(III) complexes with chiral ligands show circularly polarized luminescence (CPL). Recently, Hasegawa has reported chiral Eu(III) coordination polymer with thermal durability and highly emission quantum yield.
