Development of chiral metal complexes involving binaphthyl moiety has been attracting significant attention to the researchers since long due to their interesting structural features.1,2 In this study, we have focused on the synthesis and characterization of chiral nickel and zinc complexes from bis(NNO) ligand (R)-1 based on BINOL-bipyridyl framework. To our pleasure, X-ray crystal structures of multinuclear nickel and zinc complexes possessing very unique structural properties have been obtained.
