Functional molecular materials with molecular motion have attracted much attention due to switchable characteristics of the materials. For example, one-dimensional metal coordination polymer of [Ru2(4-Cl-2-OMePhCO2)4(phz)]n (4-Cl-2-OMePhCO_2~- = 4-chloro-o-anisate;; phz = phenazine) showed gas sorption by gate-opening/closing mechanism, and dielectric properties were changed through gas sorption process.1
