The present invention relates to thermal stability and fluorescence characteristics of a zinc complex compound consisting of ,-alkane-dicarboxylate and 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane ligands, and to a carbon dioxide gas absorbent. The purpose of the present invention is to synthesize a novel zinc complex compound consisting of ,-alkane-dicarboxylate and 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane ligands and figure out a structure, thermal stability, and fluorescence characteristics of the complex compound, and characteristics as a carbon dioxide absorbent.
