摘要

Transition metal-based chalcogenides represent one of the promising groups which can replace the noble metal group in energy conversion system. Recently, the catalysts of nickel selenide group have gained attention because of their earth-abundance and high activity for water splitting. The catalytic system based on nanocrystals (NCs) is an efficient way owing to their large specific surface areas, however, it remained challenging issue to synthesize uniform nickel selenide NCs. The cation exchange reaction is useful procedure to obtain NCs that could not be accessible in usual direct synthesis, because versatile metal cations can be used to replace the original cations in seed-NCs.
