Acid-catalyzed Esterification of Benzoic Acid in the absence of solvent and its application for cyclodextrin

Considerable efforts have been made toward efficient and environmentally friendly synthetic methods for esters. Therefore, we investigated acid-catalyzed esterification of benzoic acid (1) with dodecan-1-ol (2) in the absence of solvent as an environmentally friendly model synthetic method. We optimized the reaction conditions of the esterification.1
