Development of stable and visible-light-active photocatalyst materials is indispensable to achieve practically high efficiency in solar-to-hydrogen conversion under natural sunlight via such photocatalytic water splitting. Recently, we demonstrated stable water oxidation photocatalysis by employing layered perovskite oxychlorides as a new class of mixed-anion photocatalysts responding to visible light.1
