Photo Thermoelectric Effect Triggered by Local Heat under Localized Surface Plasmons

摘要

Heat generation in metallic nanostructure underplasmon is known as plasmonic local heat, and ithas been utilized in various applications, for example,cancer therapy, photohermal chemistry, nanowiregrowth, and so on. G. Baffou et al. reportedthat Au single nanoparticle generates local heatabout 90 K under the light irradiation of 100mW/cm2. These facts indicate plasmonicnanostructures will be effective nano-heaters.
