摘要

Nicaragua has been affected in the recent years by an increase in the seismic activity, what has aroused the interest of having a greater monitoring of seismic events, however, the cost of these stations is high. The project consists of providing a solution to this problem by designing a seismic station, using the PIC technology for the realization of the data acquisition board, in addition to using Xbee modules, for reliable and cheap transmission over long distances, LABVIEW software will be used to process the data, graphically display it, and store it in a database. The project consists of three stages: acquisition-conditioning, transmission-reception, data processing-storage. As it is expected that it will be in a remote location, it must be independent of the commercial electricity grid that is why will be use of solar energy.
