In order to investigate the riverbed formation mechanism of alluvial river and the influence of flow and sediment process to alluvial river, it is very necessary to analyze the relationship between the adjustment of channel morphology and the flow and sediment process. Yang (1994) innovatively studied hydraulic characteristics and morphology shaping of alluvial river based on the energy dissipation properties of river system. Sun (1999) explored the riverbed adjustment of Ningxia-Inner Mongolia reach in Yellow River from the perspective of river entropy. In recent years, Chen (2004) adopted the principle of minimum rate of available energy dissipation and the theory of statistical entropy to explore the equilibrium stability mathematical model of riverbed evolution. Xu (2004) thought an alluvial river could adjust itself in accordance with the theory of minimum entropy production or the theory of minimum rate of energy dissipation. Hu (2006) proposed the relation of flow-sediment conditions to cross-sectional geometry in view of the variation of water and sediment in the Lower Yellow River.
