Serial port expansion technologies based on the VK series chip

In recent years, the number of serial module has been rapidly increased in the application of electronic engineering. This paper introduces a kind of serial port expansion technologies based on the VK series chip, the author used VK3366, which is one of the VK series serial port expansion chips of Viken Technology, to extend four serial ports for a kind of electric fire monitoring device. In this paper, the design of electric fire monitoring device system and the basic characteristics of VK3366 have been introduced, and the hardware interface circuit of VK3366 and the key program flow chart of initialization program and receiving data program have been designed. Serial port expansion technologies have realized multi-serial port multiplexing and data transmission, and solved the problem of microcontroller lack of serial port.
