Photocatalytic and antibacterial approach of green synthesised MgO nanoparticles

Photocatalytic and Antibacterial activities of magnesium oxide nano particles (MgO NPs) synthesised MgO by green reduction method. On treating of fresh green Aloe vera leaf extract as fuel along with magnesium nitrate by maintaining pH value and varying leaf extract 10ml, 20ml and 30ml concentration. Then all these samples are calcinated at a 650°C temperature to obtain powder form MgO nanoparticles. Further NPs are characterized with XRD, FTIR, SEM and UV to confirm nano size. Dye degradation of methyelene blue (MB) and antibacterial activity to Gram negative E.coli bacteria has been observed. These studies give scope for both optical and biological applications.
