Bi~(3+) and Eu~(3+) co-doped LaGaO_3 nanoparticles were synthesized by Polyol method and subsequently have been characterized by their structure, optical and photoluminescence studies. XRD revealed the formation of single-phase LaGaO_3 nanoparticles with orthorhombic symmetry. From Uv-Vis studies, it is found that the absorption of pure LaGaO_3 is less compared with Bi~(3+) and Eu~(3+) co-doped LaGaO_3 nanoparticles and the optical band gap decreases in LaGaO_3: Bi~(3+), Eu~(3+) nanoparticles. From Absorption spectra the synthesized nanoparticles size found to be around 10nm.The pure and doped photoluminescence studies revealed that the samples are with high structural and optical quality.
