ESTIMATION OF THE AEROSOL LAYER HEIGHT FROM SATELLITE OBSERVATIONS OF THE RING EFFECT

摘要

In this study the dependencies of the Ring effect on aerosol properties (AOD and layer height) are investigated. For that purpose OMI observations of the Ring effect at four wavelengths over Beijing are analysed and compared to independent data sets. Our results indicate that AOD and layer height might be retrieved from Ring effect observations at different wavelengths.
