The influence of thermal shock loading on the phase composition and microstructure of the ZrO_2(Y_(2O3)) ceramics was studied. It was found that thermal shock strains had no effect on phase composition of ZrO_2(Y_(2O3)) ceramics. The reducing of concentration of high-temperature tetragonal t-ZrO_2 and the increase in content of low-temperature monoclinic m-ZrO_2 crystal system with each subsequent thermal shock loading was observed. The formation of block structure in all studied ceramics was observed. The sizes of the blocks formed in the ZrO_2(Y_(2O3)) ceramics were slightly different. The formation of the blocks in ceramics occurred on the grain boundaries.
