The problem of water shortage in northern areas of China is becoming more and more serious, and severely restricts the economic and social development. Building water source conservation forests in catchment areas can effectively protect environment, so people pay more and more attention to it. This article introduced the forest hydrological processes of water resource conservation forest, including forest crown canopy, litter layer, and the forest soil layer. The influence factors of each process were analyzed and the quantitative calculation formulas were given. It could provide the basis for revealing the mechanism of water resource conservation, at the same time provide the reference for the construction, operation and management of water resource conservation forests.
