The analysis model of ANSYS finite element for annular piezoelectric resonator is built in this paper, and experiments are carried out for verifying the validity of the finite element model. The influence of the piezoelectric resonator's sizes on the natural frequencies is discussed; and the optimization for the piezoelectric resonator's sizes by using ANSYS is carried out, in the optimization procedure, the piezoelectric ceramic volume is made minimal while its first order natural frequency is kept in a range. These researches provide a theoretical basis and effective way for piezoelectric resonator design and optimization.
