摘要

In order to improve the efficiency of earthquake checking calculation of oil and gas pipelines crossing active seismic fault, the key step is to calculate the maximum axial tensile strain using new-mark method. We can get a cubic equation which includes the maximum tensile strain as unknown draw using the Shengjin formula, and analyse if the result s are real or imaginary roots, and check different positive real roots. In general, the equation has three real roots when the criterion is less than zero, the positive real roots is a solution. The example proves that, the tensile strain of the pipeline can be calculated quickly according to the calculation method in this paper. Earthquake checking calculation can be done quickly.
