Acoustical optimization design for noise barrier with T-shape top structure

This paper mainly focuses on designing a noise barrier with T-shape top structure, A theoretical model describing the noise barrier under the influence of ground effect is investigated and built, based on the Uniform Geometrical Theory of Diffraction (UTD) and the principle of image source, and corresponding method of Insertion Loss calculating is also given in detail. And then an acoustical optimization design method for noise barrier with T-shape top structure is put forward ulteriorly based on the parameter sensitivity analysis method, the aforementioned mathematical model and calculating method. The simulating validation researches are carried out including single and double parameters of the optimization design, which took an example for central height and top structure width. And the results show that the optimization design method is feasible and effective, and these are also proved to be applicable to the practical engineering design.
