摘要

Recently phytoiemediation technology is a new way of economic, effective and environmentally to management and remediation the remediation of heavy metalst~([1~5]). Looking for a plant which has high endurance, large biomass, fast-growing and has strong ability of absorption and transport heavy metals is the key to success. Copper is an essential micronutrient for plant metabolism, but it becomes extremely toxic when presenting in excessive amount. Thus, plants evolve mechanisms to detoxify Cu in the cell by approaches of cellular homeostasis. Plants have the ability to maintain optimal concentrations of copper ions in metabolic parts of the cells. This paper reviewed several excellent species for the remediation of heavy metals.
