The selection of developing solvents in rapid detection of illegally additives in hair coloring agent

Aim: Optimization and selection of developing solvents. The developing solvents was used in a simple and rapid TLC method to identify m-phenylenediamine and o-phenylenediamine in oxidation hair coloring products simultaneously. Methods: Using capilllary tubes, a small amount of the sample was placed on a silica gel GF_(254) plate and run using two kinds of solvents. Results: The solvent containing acetone-chloroform-ethyl acetate (30:30:40 by vol) was the optimized solvent.
