摘要

Ti-29Nb-13Ta-4.6Zr (mass %, TNTZ) is well known as a biomedical titanium alloy, which consists of harmless elements and shows low Young's modulus. Recently, application towards implant devices such as stem of an artificial hip joint has been studied. It is possible to achieve further low modulus by addition of oxygen (O) and implementing a cold-working process based on previous reports2'. It is known that O addition is affecting phase transformation behavior of a anday phases; however, detailed studies on how the O addition is affecting age-hardening behavior are not well performed. In this study, the relationship between age-hardening behavior and precipitation phases in the TNTZ alloy with varying O contents has been investigated.
