摘要

The sources of stainless steel irradiation hardening comes from black dots, Frank loops, precipitates and cavities, and in relatively low temperature and low dose ion irradiation, the first two plays the major part. And Si, the fast diffusing element in stainless steel, is believed to greatly affect microstructure evolution process and thus affect hardening. In this work, high purity 316L stainless steel model alloys with different Si additions are irradiated by Ni~(2+) and Fe~(2+) ions. Si effects on radiation defects at damage peak depth are analyzed under Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and then compared with nano-hardness.
