Calcium (Ca2+) channels can be attractive targets in cancer therapy. Our lab is interested in developing a cancer therapy that involves the use of monoclonal antibodies against Ca2+ channels. We are currently in the process of investigating potential antibody candidates by performing in vitro tests, such as binding assays and cell growth assays. We aim to ultimately use in vivo cancer models in order to evaluate the success of these immunomodulatory antibodies as a cancer therapy.
