Improving sustainable development capacity of regional energy is the foundation to achieve the social and economic sustainable development. However, directly applying the present comprehensive evaluation methods in assessing the sustainable development capacity of regional energy has series of problems. Therefore, this study proposed the SVMs ensemble method based on Choquet fuzzy integral, which not only considered the contribution of each sub-SVM, but also took the secondary information into account. The simulation experiment was executed through the data from three provinces in China. The result demonstrated that the SVMs ensemble method based on Choquet fuzzy integral obtained better classification performance other than SVMs ensemble methods. Therefore, this method was feasible and effective to evaluate the sustainable development capacity of regional energy.
