After the Cold War, under the background of economic globalization and regional economic integration, the world's energy develops rapidly and prosperously. Influence of energy factors on international relations, world economy, and international politics has increased day by day. Based on the advantage of its natural resources, Russia timely puts forward energy diplomacy strategy of all-round development. Through the analysis of international and domestic political and economic situation facing Russia, this paper discusses the intrinsic motivation of Russia's energy diplomacy from the perspectives of the relations between geopolitics and economy and between energy politics and economy.
