To cultivate lots of applied translation talents is one school-running aim for colleges. Therefore all the colleges should understand the connotations of the applied translation talents based on their own features. In order to cultivate excellent applied translation talents for the regional economy, colleges should take the skill-oriented and translation comprehension-oriented principles and abide by the following strategies: adjusting the curriculum in accordance to the translation market; reforming the teaching methods and optimizing the teaching resources; cultivating qualified teachers in order to develop the Ss' translation comprehension.
