The widespread implementation of carbon capture,utilization, and storage(CCUS)calls for a rigorous assessment of the risks associated with the injection of carbon dioxide(CO2)into geologic formations,as the injection of CO2 may cause the leakage of brines into overlying aquifers.Contaminant transport models used to assess these risks require solubility information of organic compounds dissolved in these brines.However,the effects of high concentrations of electrolytes are not well-understood.
