摘要

Dye-sensitized solar cell(DSC)is low-cost,semi-transparent and easy to manufacture. 1,2,3 As such it is also available for indoor light resource for photovoltaic conversion.A typical DSC consists of one photo electrode made of semiconductive titanium oxide(TiO2) and dye molecular,a counter electrode made of platinum(Pt)and the iodine/triiodide based electrolyte filled between the electrodes.Under illumination,light is absorbed by the dye molecule attached to the surface of TiO2 nanoparticles in the anode.Then,the excited dye molecule injects electrons into the TiO2 conduction band where the photocurrent ultimately formed.The generated electrons can transport through the disordered network of TiO2 nanoparticles via diffusion.A redox shuttle(such as I ~- /I3 ~- system)in the organic solution is then employed to regenerate the dye and carry the charge to the cathode,where the oxidized form of the redox shuttle is reduced to complete the circuit.
