A group desulfuration bacteria for degradation hydrogen sulfide in carbon monoxide was obtained from anaerobic pool of city sewage treatment plant by inductive domestication method with carbon monoxide contained H2S gas.And the ability of the bacterium degradation H2S in water,toxicity resistance of desulfuration bacterium to phosphine and another influence factors for the bacterium growth were investigated.The results showed that:the desulfuration bacteria have an ability with degradation rate of 30 mg/(L.h) and 60% degradation efficiency for H2S in water.And the desulfuration bacterium is life propitious to weak alkaline environment of pH =6~9; but phosphine in CO gas has a greater influence on activity of the desulfuration bacterium.
