It is a common social task to reduce the resource-environmental pressure caused by solid waste discharge from civil building life-cycle and to promote the economic development onto track of resource reduction and environmental decompression.By methods of ecological footprint and emergy analysis and taking Shenyang Library as example,resource-environmental pressure calculating model for solid waste discharge from each period of life-cycle is built for case analysis The result shows that resource-environmental pressure caused by waste cement discharge accounts for 48.56% of ecological footprint in constructing period,82.78% in use and maintenance period and 56.73% in dismantled and discarded building material disposal period; while resource-environmental pressure caused by waste readymixed concrete discharge accounts for 31.90% of ecological footprint in constructing period and 37.26% in dismantled and discarded building material disposal period.In periods of life-cycle,resource-occupied footprint of solid waste discharge in dismantled and discarded building material disposal period accounts for the largest proportion with 92.91% of the whole and in use and maintenance period for the smallest proportion with 1.06%.Thus the emphasis of cutting down the solid waste discharge amount in periods of life-cycle of civil building is to reduce the application amount of cement and ready-mixed concrete,and to develop more civil buildings with steel structure which is substitutable for concrete structure or with combined structure.
