Thermoelectric (TE) materials have great potential applications in both power generation and solid-state cooling heating, and they can effectively and directly convert heat to electricity from a waste heat source 1. Especially since the combustion of fossil fuel has caused very alarming environmental problems, the conversion of waste heat to electric power by means of TE devices has become more urgent 2. In a simplified model, TE efficiency is determined the dimensionless figure of merit ZT=S2σT/κ, where S, σ, κ, and T Seebeck coefficient, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and absolute temperature, respectively.
